Beyond the Chair: Mentorship for the Modern Clinician

Turning Intern Hours into Clinical Mastery

You’ve spent years in the classroom learning the what of therapy. Now, it’s time to master the how.

As the founder of Beyond the Chair Counseling and Consulting, my mission has always been to move past the traditional, detached dynamic of clinical work. I bring that same philosophy to my supervisory relationships. I’m not just here to sign your logs; I’m here to help you navigate the “walking on eggshells” moments of clinical practice, refine your survival skills as a therapist, and build a multidisciplinary lens that sees the whole person.

The Multidisciplinary Advantage

Florida licensure requirements are rigid, but your supervision shouldn’t be. By working with a dually licensed and highly credentialed supervisor, you gain a perspective that spans the entire behavioral health spectrum:

  • LMHC & LMFT: We address the intersection of individual trauma and complex family systems.
  • MCAP: You gain specialized insight into addiction recovery and relapse prevention.
  • NCC & CCMHC: Guidance backed by national standards of clinical excellence.

“To move ‘beyond the chair’ in supervision means we look at how your client’s past influences their present—and how your own growth as a clinician influences the room.”

Full Compliance. Zero Guesswork.

Your licensure path is too important to leave to chance. My supervision practice is built on a foundation of strict adherence to Florida Administrative Code Rule 64B4-2.0025, ensuring every hour you earn is protected and valid.
